Inspirational Latina Speaker Janet Perez Eckles to Receive Media Award

Latina Speakers announced today that La Prensa newspaper, the largest Hispanic publication in Central Florida recognized inspirational keynote speaker and motivational Hispanic author, Janet Perez Eckles, with the “2011 Latina Women who Make A Difference Award.”
Janet Perez Eckles is an inspirational Latina author and inspiring keynote speaker based in Florida. Perez Eckles was diagnosed with blindness later in life but uses her moving personal story to speak about hope and victory. In addition to inspirational speaking, Janet Perez Eckles is also the author of "Trials of Today, Treasures for Tomorrow: Overcoming Adversities in Life" and founder of Islands of Peace Ministries. Perez Eckles has been married to her husband for over 30 years and is the mother of 3 boys, one of whom is waiting for her in heaven.
