Hispanic Students Request Inspiring Latino Commencement Speakers

Latino Speakers Bureau cited higher demand from campuses with high Hispanic density around the country as students increasingly request top level Latino speakers take the commencement stage in 2011. Latino Speakers was born in 2003 to showcase successful Hispanics speakers and their best keynotes because founder, Leonor McCall-Rodriguez, felt outstanding Latino keynote speakers were unrecognized in the U.S. and international markets.
"There are so many distinguished Latino speakers available today on the keynote speaking circuit. We work with campuses to get them on the speakers' schedule early, so they can host a high-level event, " said McCall-Rodriguez. "If you want to inspire and motivate students, try Pulitzer Prize Award-winning speaker, Jose Galvez, Latino best selling author, Joachim de Posada (almost 3 million books sold), former Smithsonian Insitute director, Dr. Refugio Rochin, or award winnng speaker and master storyteller, David Gonzalez. Other motivational speakers in high demand are former U.S. treasurer, Rosario Marin, MSW Pegine Echevarria, and Emmy Award winning keynoters, Tony Plana and Debi Gutierrez. Commencement is a moment for celebrated speakers, inspirational keynotes, and too big a day to settle for less than the best," concludes Latino Speakers Bureau's McCall-Rodriguez.

Joachim de Posada logs 3.5 million life-changing motivational miles

Life on the road has become commonplace to Joachim de Posada, the result of the unique journey from a newspaper route to authoring a best-seller. The international motivational speaking celebrity found his life changing in parallel to that of millions who have heard the empowering message of his insightful book, “Don’t Eat the Marshmallow… Yet.,” fast approaching 3 million books sold worldwide in 20 languages. International best-selling author and motivational keynote speaker, De Posada, has traveled to 60 countries, logging an impressive 3.5 million life-changing motivational miles.
Hispanic keynote speaker, De Posada, fluent in English and Spanish reads every note as fans share the effect of the Marshmallow Principle. Sometimes it’s a simple change like setting up a savings account. At times, it’s involves a major career or business decision. Whatever the case, the number of fans who e-mail, tweet, use Facebook, and text Joachim de Posada each day remind him of how one man’s voice affects change in the world. Beloved by his readers, the professional business speaker finds his days full of reminder-moments of the privilege of empowering audiences and touching lives on the path to success. Thus he has been intercepted while carrying his lunch tray at the Los Angeles Convention Center by an employee who was reading his book and he found himself entering a hotel elevator in Bolivia only to see the operator reading his book as she went up and down floors. Such is a day in the life of Joachim de Posada.
His most recent speaking engagements brought him to the stage in England and Germany, and Switzerland where he took the stage alongside Nobel Prize winner, Dr. Joseph Stiglitz. “Speaking in Switzerland for a very prestigious company and sharing the stage with Dr. Stiglitz was really a treat, more so when he opened his speech quoting my Marshmallow story! In fact, he said that in the example I gave of two out of three children eating the marshmallows, the two that ate them were Americans, and the one that didn’t was Chinese, going on to tell the audience that the savings rate is America is close tozero while the Chinese save 50% of their earnings. Believe me, now more than ever, we must change our consumption habits, control our deficit or we are in great danger as a nation," said De Posada.
All this in a speaker’s day's work. Then he was off to Honk Kong to speak at the Asia Consciousness Conference.
This global tour itself is a reflection of transformation and just five years ago clients primarily viewed Latino motivational and inspirational speakers as exclusive of Hispanic Heritage events and diversity training. Recent years have brought increasing demand of Hispanic speakers and authors as the gateway has opened for others because Joachim de Posada has taken his expert motivational message across geographies. “Many of our clients are multi-national corporations that host conferences and meetings around the world, and due to his ability to connect with audiences from South Africa to Taiwan, Honk Kong or to Mexico City, Joachim de Posada is in high-demand for business events and corporate motivational speaking,” said Leonor McCall-Rodriguez. Joachim de Posada offers a variety of keynotes and programs tailored to event themes and messages. For more information, visit http://wwww.bestkeynotes.com
